Isaiah Casenelli, Minister

Isaiah Casenelli has served as the minister of the Lewisburg Church of Christ since 2023. A lifelong member of the Church of Christ, he was raised and baptized at the Middlebourne Church of Christ before continuing his spiritual growth as a young adult at the Pursley Church of Christ under the mentorship of the late minister, Tom Butterfield. He graduated from Ohio Valley University, a church of Christ- affiliated university, with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Bible. Isaiah spent many years in ministry, serving as a youth minister for congregations in West Virginia and Ohio, as well as serving as a director and volunteer at several Christian summer camps and conferences. He also worked as the campus minister at Mid-Atlantic Christian University in Elizabeth City, NC. In addition to ministry work, Isaiah has worked as a licensed social worker through the Children’s Home Society of WV and a juvenile detention facility in Washington County, Ohio. He uses his psychology and counseling aspects of his education to help guide and support others in their faith walk. Isaiah and his wife, Makayla— who grew up attending the Lewisburg Church of Christ— have one son, Jaxon. He is a very passionate sports fan, especially of the WVU Mountaineers (he references them often in his sermons). He loves serving the Lewisburg congregation and is passionate about helping the church grow into a a welcoming place where everyone can grow in faith and worship together.
